THE NEIGHBORHOOD

The entire neighborhood has experienced gentrification for the last 15 years as young urban professionals, finding themselves priced out of areas like Los Feliz, Hollywood Hills, and Silver Lake, have found affordable housing there. Eagle Rock is inhabited by a wide variety of ethnicities and socioeconomic groups, but it is best known as an eclectic gathering of Hipsters. Many well known Artists and Entertainment industry types call Eagle Rock their home. This area truly has a small town neighborhood feel to it, but do not let this humble description fool you, Eagle Rock has its version of “Rodeo Dr”. If you just take the time to tour along side HILL DR., which runs east and west bound, north of Colorado Bl. There you will see magnificent homes restored to their grand luster. Eagle Rock also has its share of some newer architectural homes built along the hillsides with incredible views in all directions. Eagle Rock is also freeway friendly making it easy to get to Hollywood, Downtown, Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena with great ease of access to street or freeway travel. Eagle Rock’s business district is on the move with an ever increasingly known area dubbed the “café district” housing some very well known Eateries such as The Coffee Table, Camino’s, Oinksters, Blue Hen, Casa Bianca, Swork Coffee, New York Deli, Columbos, Colorado Wine Company, just to name a few, making it an ideal location for new business ventures. And yes they have a Starbucks, Trader Joes, and the new addition of Sprouts Market (May 2016)

ARCHITECTUAL DIVERSITY

Eagle Rock has many historic and architecturally significant homes, many done in the Craftsman, Georgian, Streamline Modern, Art Deco, Mediterranean and Spanish/Mission styles. Eagle Rock also has newer architectural homes built along many of its beautiful hillsides granting them incredible views in all directions, some of which have views to the ocean.
